Academic Calendar
The 2011-2012  school year at Marquette High begins on Friday, Aug. 26, for all students and ends May 24, 2012. The academic calendar shows all school days, exam days and vacation days. It also notes the daily schedule that will be followed on each school day (see below). At times the school schedule may need to be adjusted. Communications to parents and students will be made by the principal as soon as possible when a situation arises.

Daily Class Schedules 
As a general rule, the first bell rings at 7:50 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with classes starting promptly at 8 a.m. On Thursdays, the first bell rings at 8:45 a.m. with classes starting at 8:55 a.m. There are eight periods each day. School is dismissed at 2:48 p.m.

Marquette High follows a forward or reverse daily schedule depending on the day, with slight changes to the class period length based on whether the day is a regular, liturgy, homeroom, assembly or meeting day. In general, Monday, Wednesday and Friday are forward schedule days (Period 1-8). Tuesday and Thursday are reverse schedule days (Period 8-1).  See the 2011-2012 academic calendar above for forward and reverse schedules for each school day of the year. At times, changes are made to the forward/reverse schedules. Communications to students will be made as needed.
