Most Fulfilling Coaching Accomplishment: I am happy to see so many of my former athletes go on to participate in track & field at the college level and find success in their lives. I am also gratified to have so many of my former athletes come back to be a part of the program as coaches. Obviously, the program meant a lot to them when they were at MUHS.

Favorite Sports Book: “When Pride Still Mattered,” by David Maraniss
Funniest Coaching Moment: The funniest moment was listening to team assistant Jeff Gallagher do teacher impersonations while we were driving home from WIAA State in 2002. He was usually a fairly quiet guy and he really broke out of his shell. I was laughing so hard that I was crying. Conor Sweeney, a writer on the “follies” staff (and one of our top runners) was in the van and encouraged Jeff to do the part of English teacher Ms. Ginny Schauble in the follies that fall.
