Marquette University High School offers many possibilities for students to make friends and enjoy each other’s company in social settings during the school year.
Dances
-
Every school year MUHS sponsors a variety of different dances. The Welcome Back Dance takes place in August. Homecoming, Torch and Prom punctuate the school year by offering a chance for students to break out their suits or tuxes for formal dances.
Sporting Events
MUHS students support their school teams and build school spirit by attending sporting events throughout the school year. A good football, basketball, hockey or volleyball game often gets a weekend off to a good start for Marquette High students. The 36 interscholastic teams in 13 different sports along with 2 club sports offers MUHS students literally hundreds of opportunities to cheer on MUHS student-athletes.
Fine Arts
MUHS students enjoy theater and musical performances from the stage of the O’Rourke Auditorium. The Prep Players share their talents at the Winter Play and Spring Musical. Seniors create their own theatrical production each year with Senior Follies. MUHS musicians put their talents on display at concerts during the school year.
Pastoral Activities
Marquette High students participate in a number of pastoral activities during their time at school. Freshmen and Sophomores have weekend retreat experiences and most upperclassmen participate in the Kairos retreat. All students complete service hours. Reconciliation is offered each week. Marquette offers morning mass, all-school liturgies, and optional weekly liturgies.
