For nearly 160 years, Marquette High has delivered an exceptional, college-preparatory experience to young men, helping them developing spirituality, emotionally, intellectually, artistically, morally and physically. Students are immersed in a respectful, challenging, and caring environment and become part of a diverse community.

During their four years, students will develop their faith and acquire an awareness of the dignity and needs of all people. Upon graduation, they will join a distinct and vast network of Marquette High alumni around the world who are Christ-like "Men for Others."

Marquette High’s core curriculum with a strong emphasis on the humanities equips students with the ability to speak and write well, to think critically and analyze issues.

Advanced Placement
Students seeking a college-level challenge in the classroom can find it through AP courses. 726 AP exams were administered in 17 subjects.

Marquette High offers more than 50 different homerooms and after-school clubs, including debate, robotics, Latin, Key Club, Best Buddies, rock climbing and improvisation.

Spiritual Development
As a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition, Ignatian spirituality, a spirituality for everyday life, guides students in their faith development through individual and group activities -- academic and experiential.

The service program at MUHS enables students to realize that their talents and gifts are to be developed for the good of the human community in pursuit of the Jesuit ideal of becoming "Men for Others."
Athletics
Team Work
At MUHS, 90% of students will play a interscholastic or club sport during their four years. At least one no-cut varsity sport and freshman teams are fielded every season in every sport.

Intramurals
The intramural program is enjoyed by 70% of students each year and offers basketball, dodgeball, kickball and indoor soccer. It's all for fun. No experience necessary.

Alumni Service Corp

The Alumni Service Corps is a volunteer program that allows individuals to experience high school teaching in the framework of the Jesuit commitment to service.

Marquette University High School is accepting applications for its Alumni Service Corps (ASC) program for the '22-'23 school year. The deadline for applications is FEBRUARY 28, 2022.

2018 Best Places to Work

Marquette University High School was awarded a 2018 Best Places to Work Award from the Milwaukee Business Journal.

MUHS also received the 2017 BPTW Award, ranking 4th out of 10 in the "large employer" category.
