Marquette University High School reclaimed the Greater Metro Conference track and field championship for the first time since 2007.

Sophomore distance runner Eli North delivered a double victory, winning the 1,600 in 4:20.49 and the 3,200 in 9:33.09. Senior Jack Kwiatt added the 800 crown in 1:59.06, while fellow senior Matthew Griffith produced the night’s best discus throw at 170 feet.

Shawn Parish set a new school record in the 100 meters in 10.82, improving on assistant coach Chris McKinney's previous record. This is the third time Parish has broken the school record this season, after previously setting the 4x100 all-time MUHS mark twice

Jackson Myers placed third in the 400 at 49.10 and seventh in the 200 at 22.86, with Peyton Roby-Brown fourth in the 400 at 51.69.

Amillione Johnson took fourth in the long jump at 20-8½, and TJ McKinney finished fourth in the triple jump at 41-5½ while also scoring in the high jump.

Marquette’s relays included a 42.90 victory in the 4×100, fourth-place efforts in the 4×200 (1:32.32) and 4×400 (3:30.85), and a fifth in the 4×800 (8:29.16).

The Hilltoppers open at the Division 1 Regional on Tuesday, May 27, at Wisconsin Lutheran High School.
