Ethan-Jeffrey Lomo-Tettey ’26 will attend Yale University this fall as a QuestBridge Match Scholarship recipient, earning early admission and a four-year full-ride scholarship.

The QuestBridge National College Match connects high-achieving students with top colleges and universities. Each Match Scholarship recipient receives a full four-year scholarship, provided by the college partner, that covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel expenses. 

Ethan-Jeffrey, a graduate of Catholic East Grade School, was one of two salutatorians for the Class of 2026, joining classmate Arjun Patel ’26.

A National Merit Finalist, Ethan-Jeffrey has been a major contributor to MUHS Science Olympiad, serving as president of the team. He is a 14-time Science Olympiad state medalist, including nine gold medals. He was also a six-time medalist at the MIT Science Olympiad Invitational, earning two gold medals.

At this year's Science Olympiad national tournament, Ethan-Jeffrey earned two third place medals to help lead the team's top 10 finish in the country. 

Ethan-Jeffrey completed a summer research project on the acquisition of erythromycin resistance genes in Vibrio natriegens. He also placed seventh nationally and 41st internationally in the 2025 Online Astronomy Competition.

In mathematics, Ethan-Jeffrey earned a top 10 individual placement at the Wisconsin Mathematics Council State Meet and top 20 individual placements in both the Wisconsin Math League and Catholic Math League contests.

At MUHS, Ethan-Jeffrey has also been an active member of the school’s academic community. In addition to leading Science Olympiad, he was a member of Math Club and the Jesuit Honor Society and served as vice president of Latin Honor Society.

His QuestBridge Match Scholarship to Yale reflects years of disciplined academic work, leadership and curiosity across science, mathematics and research. MUHS congratulates Ethan-Jeffrey on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to seeing all that he will accomplish at Yale.
