Mason Brewer Awarded Jesuit Schools Network Honor

Each year, every school in the Jesuit Schools Network awards a senior who most represents the embodiment of a graduate at graduation. Awardees exemplify the Jesuit ideals of being open to growth, intellectually excellent, religious, loving and committed to justice.

Mason Brewer ‘24 was announced as this year’s JSN Awardee at the 2024 graduation ceremony. This year’s finalists for the award along with Brewer were Peter McDevitt ‘24, Bryce Roder ‘24, and Sam McGown ‘24.

His nomination by faculty noted that Mason demonstrated that he is an exemplary student known for his academic excellence, work ethic and strong character. Mason has excelled across all academic disciplines, especially in math and science, while always demonstrating a genuine curiosity and care for his fellow students.

Mason is a graduate of St. Francis Borgia Catholic School in Cedarburg. Throughout his time at Marquette High, Mason demonstrated his leadership skills by leading religious retreats such as Kairos and Freshman Retreat, serving as a Big Brother and tutoring.

Outside of the classroom, Mason served as soccer captain and also played on the golf team. In recognition of both his athletic and academic success, he was also awarded the WIAA Scholar Athlete Award at this year’s Grad at Grad Awards ceremony.

Mason will be attending Marquette University in the fall.
