Scholarships
Marquette University High School is committed to providing a high-quality Jesuit education to talented and motivated students. To make this opportunity accessible, MUHS offers a range of scholarships, including merit-based awards and specialized programs that recognize academic excellence, leadership and financial need. Magis Scholarship
Annual amount: $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 or $4,000
Total value: $4,000 to $16,000.
Renewable: Yes
Criteria: High School Placement Test (HSPT) scores
In the Jesuit tradition, "Magis" signifies striving for excellence. The Magis Scholarship is awarded to students who achieve a composite national percentile of 80 or higher on the High School Placement Test (HSPT):
- 96-99 National Percentile: $4,000
- 93-95 National Percentile: $3,000
- 90-92 National Percentile: $2,000
- 80-89 National Percentile: $1,000
St. Ignatius Service and Leadership Scholarship
Annual amount: $1,500
Total value: $6,000.
Renewable: Yes
Criteria: Service to community
Students can earn this award based on outstanding service and leadership in school, parish, and/or community organizations.
To be eligible for this award, the first 25 applicants who apply to MUHS each year and meet the service criteria will earn this scholarship.
This scholarship provides an annual award of $1,500 totaling $6,000 toward tuition costs over 4 years.
Horizon Caddie Scholarship
Annual amount: $14,535 (adjusted for annual tuition)
Total value: Approximately $60,000
Renewable: Yes
Criteria: Caddie experience and financial need
The Horizon Caddie Scholarship is a unique opportunity for students who demonstrate high academic achievement, evaluated through report cards, teacher recommendations, and a composite HSPT score of 80 or higher, and show financial need through the FAIR application.
Recipients also gain summer employment at a golf country club and mentorship support. The scholarship covers 90% of tuition and renews for all four years, combining financial aid with valuable work experience.
Archdiocese Scholarship
Annual amount: $1,560 (adjusted for annual tuition)
Total value: Approximately $6,500
Renewable: Yes
Criteria: Parents employed at Catholic high school
Students with parents employed at a Catholic high school in the Milwaukee Archdiocese qualify for a tuition discount equal to 10% of annual tuition.
A separate application confirming employment is required.
National Italian Invitational Heritage Scholarship
Annual amount: $10,000
Total value: $10,000
Renewable: No
Criteria: Students with Italian heritage
Three $10,000 scholarships are awarded each year to Italian-American high school students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior years at Milwaukee parochial schools.
Applications are typically due in May and will be available on the National Italian Invitational website.
