Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are eager to welcome your son back to campus and officially start the 2021-22 school year on Monday, August 23. This newsletter will provide you with some reminders and further "back-to-school" information.
Our registration day is Wednesday, Aug. 18, and student attendance is required. We have planned a streamlined registration process to include your son's photo, final course schedule, and locker assignment. This process should take 30 - 45 minutes and may be completed by your son. Additional stations include Campus Ministry (retreat information/spiritual theme t-shirts), Quest Dining Services - meal information, Topper Shop order pick-up, lock purchase, and Mothers Guild/Fathers Club information.
In consultation with medical advisors, we are finalizing COVID protocols for the beginning of the school year. We fully anticipate adjusting these protocols as the circumstances with the virus continue to evolve. During registration on Aug. 18, students are encouraged to wear masks in the building, especially when physical distancing is not possible. Information regarding COVID protocols will be emailed to parents on Aug. 16.

Registration Day Aug. 18 Registration Day is Wednesday, Aug. 18. All students should attend registration during the indicated times.
Freshmen will attend two full orientation days on Thursday, Aug. 19, and Friday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Details were emailed to freshman families and can be found here.
The first day of classes for all students is Monday, Aug. 23. Photo Reminder for Registration Day 2021-22 Spiritual Theme T-shirts MUHS Student Parking Information Every car parked at the school must have a current MUHS sticker affixed to the inside lower left corner of the driver's windshield. Your son will receive this year's 21-22 green and blue parking sticker at Registration. Please place the sticker on the car your son intends to bring to school. This is a "static cling" permit, peel and stick to the inside windshield. No students will be allowed in the faculty parking lot. If you need more than one sticker, your son may come to the main office during the school day and ask for one. Student-Parent Directory A printed student-parent directory is being produced but will not be available for distribution on registration day as in previous years. We will communicate through the Hilltopper Parent Weekly when it will be available for students to pick up. Topper Shop Registration Sale Items Available for Pick-up Aug. 18 Families who placed orders during the Topper Shop registration sale will be able to pick up their items outside the gym by the Athletics Office on Registration Day -- Wednesday, Aug. 18. For new orders, visit the all-new Topper Shop. A wide variety of officially branded Hilltopper gear is now available, with new items being added. All future orders from the Topper Shop will be available for pickup in the main office each Tuesday after 1 p.m., and home delivery is also an option. Sophomore Retreat Information Sophomores are required to participate in one of the seven Sophomore Retreats scheduled throughout the academic year. You can learn more about the retreat and complete the registration and parent permission forms by visiting our Sophomore Retreat Google Site. We've updated the permission settings on the Retreat Registration Form. Parents, you should now be able to register your son for his retreat without needing your son to log-in to his MUHS email account. Please fill out the retreat permission slip and health form prior to registration day on Aug. 18. Back-to-school Information on MUHS Website As you continue to prepare for the 2021-2022 school year, please review the Back-to- School webpage for details regarding the items listed below. This information was also shared in previous parent communications sent July 15 and July 29.
Senior Parent Reminders from the College Counseling Center
Athletics Forms Reminder Students will need a physical, signed by a physician and dated after April 1, 2020, in order to be eligible for the 2021-22 school year. All students participating in athletics must have the required forms on file prior to the beginning of tryouts and practice in any sport. Information regarding all forms required to participate in sports can be found on the MUHS website: https://www.muhs.edu/athletics/forms.
