| Dear Parents and Guardians, Next week is Catholic Schools Week, an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2022 is "Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service." Please read this letter from Archbishop Listecki in honor of Catholic Schools Week. |

In celebration of National Catholic Schools Week, the MUHS community will offer Mass on Monday as well as daily prayers and examens focused on Catholic education. In addition, students may support Catholic Schools Week through special attire: - Monday: All-School Liturgy Attire (shirts and ties)
- Tuesday: Celebrate Catholic Schools (wear spirit wear from your Catholic elementary school, a Catholic college or university)
- Wednesday: Blue & Gold Day (wear your Spiritual Theme T-shirt or other MUHS gear)
We will not have classes next Thursday and Friday so that the faculty and staff may attend the St. Ignatius Employee Retreat. During the retreat we will pray for our students and parents and give thanks for the continued commitment you have made to your son's Catholic, Jesuit education at Marquette High. AMDG, Jeff Monday Principal |

Parent Volunteers Needed On Tuesday, Feb. 15, the junior class will be participating in a program from a local nonprofit, SecureFutures, called Money Path. This lesson provides students with an individualized financial and career planning tool. Money Path connects the dots for high school students as they look towards their future after graduation. Students develop a plan to pay for school, build a real life budget, set savings goals, and compare different paths side by side to envision the long-term impact of their decisions. Students get to retain access to this tool after the lesson is over, to help guide future family conversations about post-secondary options. If you have a background in financial planning, this could be a great opportunity to share your knowledge with the next generation, as this lesson requires volunteers to facilitate and lead discussion for our juniors. All training will be provided online from SecureFutures, as well as in-person on the morning of the session. Light breakfast will be provided. The commitment would be on the morning of Tuesday, Feb.15, from 7:45 a.m. to 10:10 am. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Mr. Jeff Monday at monday@muhs.edu, and if you commit to helping out, please complete the quick SecureFutures volunteer application. |
