Dear MUHS Parents and Guardians: We hope that you are having a restful summer and enjoying some quality time with family and friends. While the Marquette High campus has been bustling this summer with camps, classes, and programs, we look forward to the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. We extend a special welcome to the Class of 2026 and their parents. I am confident that they will find this to be a caring and welcoming community. We also welcome new faculty and staff as they join the MUHS community to serve your sons and the MUHS mission. In this newsletter you will find instructions to access your son's class schedule and important information to ensure the year begins in a positive way. Schedules will be available in Skyward on July 18. We invite your son to participate fully in the Marquette High community this year. Please encourage him to become involved in co-curriculars, service and pastoral programs, athletics and the arts. There are many ways for students to be involved, serve the community, and develop as leaders. As parents, you are also invited to become involved at Marquette High School. Through the Mothers Guild, the Fathers Club, and participating in different school events, you have the opportunity to partake fully in your son's high school education. We will send regular e-newsletters to keep you informed, and we encourage you to visit the MUHS website for updated news and information. As always, thank you for partnering with us for your son's education and formation at MUHS. We look forward to a positive and successful year! AMDG, Jeff Monday

Student Schedules Available July 18 in Skyward Student schedules can be accessed in Skyward on July 18. To access your son's schedule, please review the following instructions: |
Schedule Error Corrections Please have your son check his schedule carefully for each of the following: Do all required courses appear: Theology, English, Math, Social Studies, and Science? Do you have a minimum of five classes EACH semester? Are you "double booked" for any period during the semester? Are classes properly balanced between first and second semester? (If you have four classes one semester and six the next, that is a problem. As a junior or senior, you should have 1 English class and 1 Theology class each semester.) Are consecutive classes in the proper order? (Is Drawing before Adv. Drawing?) Are you on track to fulfill all graduation requirements? This is your responsibility. Failure to check now could result in serious problems. Students must earn 23 credits in order to graduate. Do you have class scheduled when you should be in lunch (4th period for freshmen/sophomores and 5th period for juniors/seniors)?
In the scheduling process, alternate selections are used if the primary request cannot be fulfilled. SCHEDULE CORRECTIONS ARE LIMITED TO ERRORS LISTED IN THE BULLET POINTS ABOVE. If there is an error, please contact Ms. Fran Maloney at maloney@muhs.edu. |
Course Change and Withdrawal Policy The Course Selection process requires students, parents, and advisors to choose carefully and thoughtfully the courses for the year, including alternate course selections. The master schedule and individual student schedules are created based on these selections. These selections are also used to determine teaching assignments and hiring decisions. Because of this, subsequent changes are only permissible if certain conditions are met. For additional information on this process, please click here. |

AP Exam Information Students enrolled in AP classes are expected to take the corresponding AP exam in May. The registration process for AP Exams takes place through classes in the fall. The College Board sets the exam fees which approximately $96/exam, and MUHS invoices families directly. A student who drops an AP Exam after MUHS submits the exam order in the fall is subject to the fees charged by the College Board. A student may register for an AP exam even if he is not enrolled in the corresponding course. To do so, he must see Ms. Maloney at the beginning of the year to meet the registration deadlines. More information is available at parents.collegeboard.org. |
