Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope you are all having a pleasant summer and are taking full advantage of the sunny skies and warm weather before the start of the fall. This newsletter will provide you with important reminders and additional back-to-school information.
We officially start the 2022-23 school year with the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 22. Registration day is Wednesday, Aug. 17, and student attendance is required. We have planned a streamlined registration process to include your son's photo, final course schedule, and locker assignment. This process should take 30 - 45 minutes and may be completed by your son. Additional stations include Campus Ministry (retreat information/spiritual theme t-shirts), Quest Dining Services - meal information, Topper Shop order pick-up, lock purchase, and Mothers Guild/Fathers Club information.
We eagerly await the return of your son and the positive energy of a full and energized building. As you know, the last week has been a sad and challenging one for our community, as we mourn the passing of English teacher and coach Mr. Mike Feely. The funeral Mass for Mr. Feely took place yesterday, and the Church of the Gesu was standing room only due to the outpouring of love and support for the Feely family and the MUHS community. While many were not able to gather together due to summer travel, the Marquette High community remains strong, both in times of grief and joy.
We will send additional information in the coming weeks, and watch for the return of the Hilltopper Weekly Parent Newsletter as the new school year begins.
May you and your family enjoy the final weeks of summer!
Student/Parent Directory Opt-out Form Due Aug. 5
All students are included in the printed Student/Parent Directory unless a request is made by a parent not to be listed. We are finalizing the directory in order to have it available for pick-up on Registration Day, Aug. 17. If you do not want your family listed in the 2022-2023 Student/Parent Directory, please complete the OPT-OUT FORM by 5 p.m. Aug. 5, if you have not already done so.
Completed Student Information Verification Form Due by Aug. 15
The student information verification form for the 2022-2023 school year needs to be completed in Skyward Family Access for each student by Aug. 15. Follow the directions carefully and mark each step as complete as you proceed through the process. For students with more than one family, both families will receive the online verification form. Family one will complete all of the steps and family two will also be able to update their demographic and emergency contact information in this process. If you experience any problems or have questions, please contact Registrar Christie Odenwald at firstname.lastname@example.org or (414) 933-7220.

Your son will receive this school year's parking sticker on Registration Day. Please place the sticker on the car your son intends to bring to school. This is a "static cling" permit, peel and stick to the inside windshield. No students will be allowed in the faculty parking lot. If you need more than one sticker, your son may come to the main office during the school day and ask for one.
