Movie Making

For boys entering grades 7, 8, and MUHS Grade 9

This class will immerse students in the process of creative video production. The class will introduce students to the full filmmaking process from initial collaboration on creating an idea, to filming, acting, and directing, and through editing and final presentation. Parents will be invited to the final class for the students’ very own Film Festival showcasing the creative work of the student groups. Equipment will be provided for use during the class.

Drum Set Camp (Coed Camp)

For students entering grades 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

This camp is intended to develop drum set skills for those student musicians who have previous experience as a drummer. Topics will range from the drumming styles of Jazz, Samba, Bossa Nova, Latin-Rock, as well as tuning and care of the drum set. Drums will be provided.

June 27 – July 1 (Monday – Friday)

Let’s Improvise

For boys entering grades 6, 7, 8

Students will learn to use their minds, voices and bodies as they create improvised scenes using only their imagination. The class will focus on basic improvisational techniques and games as students learn how to work together, lose some of their inhibitions and make each other laugh.
