Private School Tuition Deduction & Tuition Statements

Parents can deduct private school tuition on their Wisconsin state taxes, up to $4,000 per K-8 student and $10,000 per high school student. Claim this deduction by filing WI Schedule PS with your Wisconsin state income tax return. This overview explains how to claim the deduction and answers some FAQs.

To claim the deduction, you may need a year-end tuition statement that reports the amount of tuition paid during the taxable year. You can retrieve yours from your Finalsite Enrollment account by following these steps:

  • Log into your Finalsite Enrollment account.
  • Click on Billing Management.
  • Scroll down to the Ledger header to find a Tax Statements dropdown menu. Select 2025 to generate and download your tuition statement.
