Reopening Plan 2020-2021
This past spring, the COVID-19 pandemic changed how we deliver the mission of Marquette University High School. In spite of the unknown and difficult circumstances, MUHS remains committed to ensuring that all students receive a high quality, faith-based education in the Jesuit, Catholic tradition. This website presents plans for the 2020-21 school year at MUHS, during a time when K-12 and higher education will look much different across the world.
We want to first note that all plans to re-open will be done in a thoughtful and systematic way with the health and safety of students, employees, and the larger community as our highest priority. The intent is to return to in-person learning and programs at Marquette High. We approach this planning process with the understanding that circumstances can change rapidly during this health crisis and any change in plans will be based on new information and guidance from health authorities and any health mandates.
In order to guide our decision-making, MUHS assembled teams of educators and medical experts to guide decision making. In addition, we will continue to turn to the American Academy of Pediatrics, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Milwaukee Health Department to implement best practices, policies, and protocols for re-opening our school.
Our plans will evolve based on updated data and recommendations from key authorities. This website contains a draft of the plan for continuing the excellence of MUHS. We are grateful for the excellent work of our faculty, staff and administration, and the commitment of our parents and students.
