School-based Therapist from Children's Wisconsin
The MUHS Counseling Department partners with Children's Wisconsin for access to a school-based therapist who works with students and their families who are experiencing a range of emotional and behavioral problems. Some areas of concern that can be addressed may include: depression, anxiety, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), behavior problems, adjustment issues due to stress or changes in the child's life, grief and loss issues and mental health.
The school-based mental health services from Children's Hospital are most appropriate for families who have difficulty bringing their child to an outside clinic due to some of the following reasons: transportation, childcare, scheduling issues, or other mental health concerns in the family.
If you would like to complete a referral, use the form below and return the completed form to Director of Counseling Mrs. Jennifer Reuchlen.
